Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom – Pankot Palace (Exterior)
The film’s major setting, where the trio are warmly welcomed by the palace’s young maharaja and allowed to stay for the night attending a banquet hosted by the palace’s young maharaja. For the opulent Palace of Pankot the producers scouted The Pink City of Jaipur in India to stand in for the Maharajah’s abode, but when filming in India fell through, the whole palace, interior and exterior, was built in the studio at Elstree.
